My head is pounding, my nails are bit off

March 28, 2008

It’s supposed to be ‘My lips are shaking, my nails are bit off’… but my lips aren’t shaking and my head is pounding. Brownie points for those who know what I’m rambling about :)

It’s Friday yay! So this morning during my usual email conversations with Jill, Sophie & Holly, I asked everyone what they were up to this weekend, and they all made me feel guilty with their grand weekend plans, about declaring this weekend a total lazy-get rid of this cold I’m starting-read-SATC season 2, weekend. 20 minutes before noon the phone rang, and it was my mother informing me of her weekend plans : She’s on her way to Moncton to spend the weekend! Well, I really don’t get to see my mom often, so technically I’m thrilled. But you know me. I’m a planner. I hate last minute change of plans. Unless they’re initiated by me. I went home at lunch to clean up all the stuff I wouldn’t want my mother to see. I’m finally excited for her visit, but my head is pounding so hard that even my neck hurts. Ah well, maybe my mommy can take care of me heh.

I’ve been thinking about Heather’s blog challenge, and I promise I’ll do it. It’s just that everytime I think of a good letter to write, I chicken out and worry about the person reading it LOL. I don’t want to password protect challenges either. I’ll come up with something.

I went to get the mail on the way home at lunch. There was a birthday card from Steph’s parents! (His birthday is Wednesday.) When chosing a card to give to someone, do you randomly grab any card in the right section, or do you carefully read and chose the perfect card? I am the type of person that can spend an hour reading cards just to pick the perfect one hehe. So when I opened the card and inside it said “We are so proud of you”… WOW! The wind was knocked out of me. I wonder if they intentionally chose this one… I’m sure Steph won’t say anything about it or get mushy, but I know it’ll mean SO much to him. And the 2nd best part about the card was that it contained a nice birthday cheque! hehe He’s thinking about getting a ping pong table. I’m all for that. I’ve been hearing about his ping pong glory days for years, so we’ll get to see if he still has it in him hehe.

Since I started with lyrics (oops, I just gave my obscurity away) I’ll end with lyrics :

People are strange (when you’re a stranger).
